Bolton Chamber Choir

Reviews

"On Saturday 28th November 2009 St. Cuthbert's Church in Lytham had the privilege of hosting a concert performed by the Bolton Chamber Choir. The largely unaccompanied programme was for Advent and it included the wonderful O Magnum Mysterium by the American composer Lauridsen and Górecki's haunting Totus Tuus. I hadn't heard the choir before and I was totally enthralled by their singing. It was certainly the best choral performance in our church since I have been involved in the music here and audience feedback was absolutely wonderful. I am thrilled that they have agreed to come and sing for us again towards the end of this year. We really can't wait!" — Representative of St Cuthbert's Church, Lytham

"On Saturday 16th November 2007 our very own Bolton Chamber Choir gave a sparkling and exciting performance in the Parish Church. The main work on the programme was the Requiem by the French composer Duruflé, a relatively unfamiliar work, and Vivaldi's Gloria. Both were sung with great energy and spirit, with expert organ accompaniment, and the coldness of the night was soon forgotten. The audience was modest in size but appreciative, and let's hope the choir will have the audiences it deserves at future concerts in the town." — Audience member

"The Bolton Chamber Choir gave an unforgettable performance of J.S. Bach's St John Passion to a packed audience at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Tatham Fells on Sunday 1st April 2007. The soft evening light poured in through the windows as the music flowed around and above all those privileged to attend. It was a most beautiful performance making it an evening that will long be remembered." — Newspaper review
