Parish Hall and the community

Holy Trinity's Parish Hall is used all year round by the church's many clubs, groups and for hosting fundraising events. The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides all use the Hall for their meetings, and the church often puts on meals for parishioners on feast days and other special occasions.

But it is also an important hub in the local community, and is often used for local consultations, meetings with councillors, and by the National Health Service. It is also available for private hire to local residents, and is often used in this way for children's birthday parties, and so on.

The Hall's future

The Hall was erected many years ago as a temporary structure. Unfortunately, it is now reaching the end of its life. While the church is constantly investing in maintenance work to ensure the Hall remains in service, replacement is the only long term option.

However, church halls are not ordinarily eligible for many of the usual types of funding available to community projects. This means we are heavily reliant on the generosity of the public and business when it comes to securing the future of this important community venue.
